Unfollow
To unfollow someone means to follow his or her social media account. If you prefer to keep the link to the social network, but don't want to see the posts, you can mute them.
For example, to unsubscribe from another user's activity feed. B. to unfollow another user's Twitter. Your tweets will no longer appear on your timeline.
Unfollowing someone on social media means that you unsubscribe from their content and notifications that are visible to you on that particular social media channel.
